Artist Studio Tour is unique opportunity to view artwork made in the working-artist’s studios.  This tour is not like attending an art opening, going to a museum or visiting a gallery displaying an artist’s creative work…it is like all of those things and more.  Usually exhibitions are for one or two artists, rarely 40 + artists on one day!

ACM’s Artist Studio Tour gives artists here in Midland an opportunity to exhibit their work; providing a venue for displaying and selling their artwork.  In addition, Artist Studio Tour gives visitors the opportunity to speak to the artist one-on-one about their work, their motivation and how and why they make what they make.  It is a rare chance to visit first-hand with an artist about their creative work.  This project helps ACM reach our mission of “Enriching lives with the arts through community-wide advocacy, education, outreach and promotion!”

Support from sponsors and the community helps support this worthy project.  In 2011, over 225 people viewed the creative work of 39 artists in eight artist’s studios here in your community!  .

Artist Studio Tour in an “invitational” show, meaning the Arts Council of Midland invites artists to participate in the tour.
