Remarks by architect and Midland native Paul Stevenson Oles FAIA
A free opening reception featuring two architectural exhibitions with remarks by Midland native 'Steve' Oles who is considered to be one of the world’s premier architectural illustrators. Prior to his retirement, Oles taught architectural drawing at the Harvard Graduate School of Design, the Rhode Island School of Design, Yale University and MIT.
Frank Lloyd Wright’s houses are often considered his greatest architectural accomplishments. Through reproduction drawings, photographs, and photographic murals, this exhibition illustrates the myriad ways—both obvious and subtle—Wright created the visual character of interior space and objects within it, each an essential detail of the larger whole.
The evening reception is FREE and open to the public.
On view April 13 through June 9
