December 18th Presentation: Voces Dei – A Christmas Music Celebration
Voces Dei, a contemporary acapella group, will bring to life the joy of Christmas. This ensemble of Midland carolers has been performing traditional and off-the-wall song renditions since 1984. The carolers say that pulling out their reindeer ears, Santa hats, and Christmas sweaters each year to share in beautiful harmony classics like “Silent Night” and “Deck the Halls,” as well as parodies like “Throw the Yule Log on Uncle John,” brings them as much joy as they hope it helps give others. Their performances also aid a different non-profit each year. This year the choristers are singing to benefit The Field’s Edge, an organization focused on cultivating a permanent, supportive, tiny-house community for the chronically homeless and disabled in Midland.
